About Us

Faith was never meant to stay inside the walls of a church. We believe following Jesus changes the way we live at home, at work, and in our community.


At Kingsport Community Church, we are learning to become more like Jesus and to carry our faith into every moment and every relationship. We want to create space for people to belong, love people with no strings attached, and ultimately love people all the way to Jesus.

How We Live


  • 1. We love God back

    “We love because he first loved us.” (1 John 4:19)


    A few ways we live this out:

    • We treat all of life as worship.
    • We offer God our Mondays, not just our Sundays.
    • We make Jesus normal in our everyday conversations.
    • We respond quickly when the Holy Spirit nudges us.
    • We give generously to further the mission of God in our world.
    • We celebrate what God is doing through other churches, not just our own.

  • 2. We create space for people to belong

    “Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you...” (Romans 15:7)


    A few ways we live this out:

    • We don’t expect people to have it all together.
    • We learn names and use them.
    • We notice and include the person who feels unseen.
    • We invite people into our lives, not just our church.
    • We show up for one another when life is hard.
    • We protect belonging by refusing to gossip, form cliques, or reduce anyone to a label or political category.

  • 3. We are learning to become more like Jesus

    “...let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.” (Romans 12:2)


    A few ways we live this out:

    • We make prayer our first priority, not our last resort.
    • We allow Scripture to shape us more than culture.
    • We spend unhurried time with Jesus.We remain teachable.
    • We move toward the needy and hurting with compassion.

  • 4. We lean in instead of holding back

    “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others...” (1 Peter 4:10)


    A few ways we live this out:

    • We bring what we have and use it to serve others.
    • We take initiative instead of waiting for someone else to do it.
    • We say yes to serving before we think we’re “ready.”
    • We give our best because today could be the day someone meetsJesus.
    • We make it “easy on them, even when it’s hard on us.”

  • 5. We love people all the way to Jesus

    “...we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.” (1 Thessalonians 2:8)


    A few ways we live this out:

    • We treat every person as someone God loves.
    • We love people with no strings attached.
    • We care about people more than we care about being right.
    • We meet people where they are, not where we think they should be.
    • We tell the stories of what Jesus has done in our lives.
    • We look for opportunities to share the good news of Jesus.

Our Beliefs

  • About God

    We believe in one God, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is our Creator, loving Father, Redeemer, and Sustainer of life, inviting us into a relationship of faith and grace.

  • About Jesus Christ

    We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, who lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead, and offers us new life. He is our Savior, our guide, and our hope.

  • About the Holy Spirit

    We believe the Holy Spirit is active in the world, empowering us to live out our faith with courage and compassion. The Spirit comforts, guides, and strengthens believers to reflect God's love and serve others.

  • About the Bible

    We believe the Bible is God's inspired Word and the ultimate guide for faith and life. Through Scripture, God reveals His character, His will for our lives, and His redemptive plan for the world.

  • About Salvation

    We believe that salvation is God's gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ. It is available to all who believe, leading us to a life of transformation, healing, and eternal hope.

  • About the Church

    We believe that the Church is a community of believers called to love God and love others. We are part of the global body of Christ and serve together as the hands and feet of Jesus in our community and beyond.

  • About Baptism and Communion

    We practice believer’s baptism as an outward sign of personal faith in Jesus. We also celebrate Communion, remembering Christ’s sacrifice and the unity we share as members of His body.

  • About Life and Purpose

    We believe each person is created in God’s image, with unique gifts and purpose. We are called to love, serve, and bring hope to the world, seeking justice, mercy, and peace.
